CollectionIf you would prefer to collect your product(s) from one of our warehouses, you are welcome to do so. Not all of our products are stocked at our main warehouse; we will contact you when your purchase is ready for collection. When collecting your products you will be asked to provide photo identification in the form of a driving licence or passport, this is for security reasons, if you cannot provide this you may be refused collection. We are happy to help you to get the product into your vehicle. Please remember Stoves and Fireplaces are both heavy and fragile. Collections can only be arranged for Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm.
DeliveryWe pay most of the delivery cost, but do ask for a contribution towards the cost of delivery for some items and some destinations. Free standard delivery is available for the majority of orders over £100 to mainland UK, except Oban, PA43, where there is a delivery charge of £150. Additional delivery charges apply for orders to offshore islands. Purchases under this amount incur a nominal £15.00 delivery fee. Delivery of stoves to Ireland incurs a fixed charge of £35, there some select stoves that cannot be shipped at that rate. You will be contacted before your order is processed to inform you of eligibility. Other destinations outside UK mainland please contact us for a delivery price. We do not deliver fireplaces outside the UK mainland. This excludes any promotional offers we may run from time to time. If there is likely to be a problem with access for a large 7.5 tonne lorry, please contact us in advance of placing your order. Examples of areas that we cannot deliver to are: long, gravelled drives, areas inside walled cities with height restrictions from all directions, narrow lanes. We may be able to make alternative delivery arrangements if you contact us in advance. If the carriers are unable to deliver to you, they will charge us for the failed delivery and the return. If you have not told us of any potential problems, we shall have to hold you liable for these charges. If you cancel an order after we have started to ship it, we regret that we have to make a shipping charge to return it to our warehouse, even if the products have not reached your address. Dispatch for delivery normally takes up to two weeks, depending on availability. It can take up to six weeks in some instances, if the lead time is longer than six weeks you will be informed by email of the estimated lead time for your goods. Cheque payments must be cleared before goods can be released from stock. The carriers will normally contact you a day or two before delivering, to arrange a suitable delivery time. The carriers will only deliver the goods to the nearest entrance to your property; they will not be able to bring the goods inside. This is for insurance and health and safety reasons. Delivery is usually made on a pallet if the order is large, or by courier delivery if the order is smaller. Please ensure that there will be someone at the delivery address on the day scheduled for delivery, available to help the driver unload and take the items to the delivery destination. Please do not sign for or accept any goods until unpacked and checked in full. Only sign if you are satisfied with the condition of your purchase. Items which have been signed for are deemed to be complete and in good condition, and we cannot then accept claims for damage in transit or missing items after 48 hours of receipt. If goods are damaged and have been signed for in good condition we will require photographs of the damage.
Ordering
When an order is placed with us you will receive an email with your invoice and details of the products you have ordered. We ask all customers to double check that what has been ordered is correct, we will allow 12 hours after ordering for you to check your order, this applies to internet and telephone orders.
Stove InstallationIt is your responsibility to choose a product of appropriate fuel type, chimney needs and dimensions. Once we have delivered your product, you are responsible for storage and installation. Solid fuel stoves (eg, wood burning stoves and multifuel stoves) should be fitted by a qualified HETAS engineer. Gas fires should be fitted by a qualified gas engineer. Click on the links to go to the relevant site to source an engineer. HETAS Gas Safe Register We recommend that you do not book a date for fitting until the item has been delivered. We specialise in supplying stoves and fireplaces at bargain prices. We ask you to help us keep prices low by taking responsibility for ordering the correct item, and clearly specifying any options you require, including the relevant/required free offers. We are not liable for any costs incurred by you, or for any loss of earnings. For example if a delivery is delayed in anyway and you have to rebook an installer then we are not liable for any extra charges that the installer may charge you. We always recommend that you do not book an installer until you are in receipt of the goods. We are not liable for any loss of earnings as a result of you taking time off work to accept a delivery even if it is late or delayed.
Stove Installation Survey
Payment for Installation Surveys are taken as booking referral fees for an Installation Survey only, not a full installation.
The Contract of Sale resides between the Customer (you) and the Installer not StovesAreUs.co.uk (Stores Direct Ltd).
Stores Direct Ltd and any related companies are not liable for any work or quotes carried out or supplied by the Installer.
Cancellations and Returns
Mail order, telephone and internet sales to individuals (not businesses) are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (UK Law Directive 97/7/EC), which protect you by providing a 7 working day 'cooling off' period after the day after the product has been delivered.
You have the option to cancel any order between the time of placing it and 7 working days after delivery. Cancellations must be in writing by post or by email to cancel@storesdirect.co.uk (but not to ANY other email address) and quoting the Order Number.
You have the right to receive a refund within 30 days of cancellation. We normally pay refunds within 14 days of cancellation or the goods being returned safely (whichever is the later).
You are advised to retain the packaging. You will find it difficult to return the item without appropriate packaging. The goods must not have been fitted, installed or used in any way. The goods must be unmarked and free from blemishes of any kind, and you must return them in a saleable condition.
Our Returns Policy
We strive to supply goods in excellent condition. Stoves and fireplaces are both heavy and fragile, and need careful handling until installed.
We will repair or replace (for free) any item found defective or damaged before delivery or during unloading. This is in addition to your manufacturer's guarantee.
We cannot accept return of products which are damaged after delivery.
When choosing a carrier to return your goods to us, you must make sure that Stoves Direct are allowed to open and inspect the contents when we receive it. If the carrier will not allow us to open the goods then our warehouse will refuse delivery and the goods will be returned to you on your carrier. This could incur further costs to you.
The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility. Returned items to us must be sent by recorded delivery.
Your package will not be accepted by our warehouse unless a valid Returns form has been completed and you have received a Returns number from us. Please see the Returns page for details of our returns procedure. We regret that we are currently unable to participate in the UK VAT Retail Export Scheme.
All spare parts are non returnable and non refundable due to being a special order.
Free Stove Pipe & Register Plate Offer
Free Stove pipe offer is only available on selected stoves where the Free Offers banner is displayed on the product. This offer does not apply on stoves that do not require it i.e Electric Stoves, Flueless Stoves & Balanced Flue Stoves. Free stove pipe offer is available while stocks last and subject to change and availability without notice. Offer is limited to one piece of pipe per qualifying stove.
In order to qualify for this offer, the Free pipe must be added to the shopping basket before checkout and cannot be added at a later date.
Free galvanised steel register plate offer is only available on selected stoves where the Free Offers banner is displayed on the product. This offer does not apply on stoves that do not require it i.e. Electric Stoves, Flueless Stoves & Balanced Flue Stoves.

Stove Pipe Door Upgrade
Free stove pipe door upgrade is only available when a stove is purchased with flue liner. The upgrade means that you will receive a stove pipe with a sweeping hatch door, allowing easier access for the chimney sweep. If a flue liner is not required the purchase of the stove pipe with a sweeping hatch has been reduced to half price. To claim the reduced price offer the upgrade must be selected from the drop down menu and added to the basket. This offer is available for online orders only and is not available for phone or showroom sales.
This offer can only be used in conjunction with the above offer if a flue liner is purchased.
Make Us An Offer
This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer other than the offer on the Stoves site "Free Offers". Discount codes are automatically issued and are valid for 1 (one) order and 1 (one) customer only, each discount code will automatically expire at midnight on the night it is generated.

Voucher Codes
All discount voucher codes are limited to one voucher per customer and only applicable during the promotional period stated with the promotions individual Terms and Conditions.
The £100 gift voucher for Stores Direct is fully transferable to friends and family, but only one voucher may be used per order. The voucher will only be valid for 1 month from date of purchase. The voucher is only applicable on orders worth over £300. It cannot be used on a combination of products worth less than £100, but totaling £300. (eg. it is not applicable on an order of six £50 products, but can be used on an order of a £200 product and two £50 products.) The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Instant Price Beater Offer
If you see your product cheaper on any web site (other than eBay or other auction sites) we will match the price plus offer an extra £10 off. This offer is an online only offer and is only available on a like for like basis.

Other Information
Contract of Sale between the Purchaser and the Seller begins when the Seller notifies the Purchaser of despatch.
