Kettler patio furniture is built to last

One of the key benefits of Kettler outdoor furniture is its durability and longevity. Kettler only uses high-quality materials and the furniture is designed to withstand the elements and resist wear and tear.

When buying garden furniture you should beware of cheaper furniture where the build quality isn’t up to standards, watch out for poorly made synthetic rattan furniture that use nails to secure the weave onto the frame. Also, beware of flat-woven furniture that are lighter and cheaper, they’re unlikely to last as long as a round weave that offers great longevity. Each piece of Kettler furniture comes with a no quibble, 3-year warranty which covers any manufacturing faults, tailored cushions, parasols and protective covers including a comprehensive 12-month warranty.

Top tips for caring for Kettler furniture

Good quality garden furniture is an investment for your home so you need it to last as long as possible. Kettler prides itself on durable furniture however even the best quality materials will need some care to keep them looking new. Here are some tips and tricks to prolong the life of your furniture no matter the material you choose.

Wooden furniture care: Kettler uses hardwoods such as acacia and teak for the Cora, RHS, Hampton and Bali ranges. Hardwoods are more durable than softwood, they don’t weather as quickly and can be easily maintained by apply a wood treatment. Your wood furniture should be cleaned with a wet cloth or soft-bristled brush and soapy water at least once a year and we recommend cleaning in the autumn before the colder months arrive. You can maintain the natural colour of the wood by applying a wood treatment instead of regular oil which can be 4 times more effective.

Wicker/rattan furniture care: More durable than natural wicker, synthetic wicker is utilised in the Palma and Charlbury collections, it requires much less maintenance and should last longer. When it comes to maintaining your rattan furniture we recommend brushing the wicker first to remove leaves and debris then use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth to wipe the dirt away rinse all soapy water off and leave to dry.

Aluminium furniture care: Aluminium and metal garden furniture is perhaps the easiest material to maintain, it can be left outside all year and requires next to no maintenance. We still recommend covering aluminium furniture when not in use and cleaning it with a damp cloth and warm, soapy water before you you put it away at the end of the season.
