Is this installed onto plain plasterboard and plaster applied around it, or should the fire be removed to allow plastering up to the edge of the framed opening and only installed once building work complete?

The Dimplex Evolve electric fire should be installed in a prepared opening, with plasterboard and plaster finished up to the edge of the fire. We wouldn’t recommend plastering around the appliance itself.
