The Teardrop Glass Floor Hearth provides a practical and stylish way to protect your flooring beneath a wood burning or multi-fuel stove. Made from 12mm toughened glass, it is suitable for use with contemporary cool hearth stoves, allowing them to be installed on combustible floor surfaces and helping to meet current UK installation requirements. Available in both clear and smoked glass finishes, you can choose the option that best complements your stove and interior style.

Manufactured from 12mm tempered glass with polished C-edge detailing, this Glass Hearth is built for everyday use. The toughened glass is resistant to scratches and general wear, helping to protect your flooring from heat, ash, and stray embers. It is also easy to keep clean. All Mi-Flues glass hearths are CE marked and, at 12mm thick, meet the minimum thickness required for HETAS approval and compliance with UK Building Regulations Document J.

For the correct installation, the Hearth should extend at least 300mm in front of the stove and 150mm either side. For the best finish, we recommend applying a thin bead of clear silicone between the glass and the floor to help prevent dust and debris from collecting underneath the hearth. This also helps keep your installation looking neat and makes cleaning easier.
