Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Does it Take the Dragonfly plancha to Heat Up?

Once lit, the Dragonfly plancha barbecue can take between 25-45mins to heat up, depending on the weather conditions and the outside temperature. The inner edge of the plate will reach around 300°C and the outer edge will reach around 200°C.

What Type of Wood Should I Use on a Dragonfly Barbecue?

You can use a wide variety of wood on the Dragonfly barbecues however, we would recommend to use kiln-dried wood for the best possible results. In particular beech and ash wood is very good as they burn down to a mass of embers that can be spread easily around the fire bowl.

Can I Use Charcoal as Well as Wood?

Yes, you can use charcoal as well as wood on the Dragonfly Firenza. Charcoal however may not reach the same temperatures as kiln-dried wood.
